You will have freedom to roam and find special spots to draw and paint. Spend 4 days immersed in a rich landscape of rolling hills, woods, ponds, and animal life. The special light and colors of the season will surround you as we look at the many ways to approach landscape.
We will explore your personal experience of place and encourage you to experiment with materials and imagery that ties into your own ways of seeing. A supportive and rich environment will allow us to explore the many ways our relationship with nature is crucial to our artistic vision and our understandings of ourselves.
Sheds and barns have been converted to studio spaces. Walls, tables, and proper lighting provide the artist with a close relationship to the outdoors with the protection of working under-cover. Gazebo-style tents may be used to provide shelter anywhere on the farm.
