Spring Hills Farm

Possibly our favorite place to conduct our workshops. Here we can provide you with studio space in the stunning setting of the farm. Here you will have 350 acres to explore. This is a farm that is rooted in a deep respect and love of nature. The relationships with the land and the animals is heart-felt and as artists we get to experience this connection for ourselves. A unique opportunity in a unique place. A chance to immerse yourself in your work while being open and expanded by the rich environment of the farm.

Fall Workshop

This six day intensive workshop brings us to the farm at one of the most beautiful times of the year.

Spring Workshop

We are offering a fourteen day workshop. Five days into the workshop there will be two days of independent studio time, without morning talks and feedback. This will allow you the opportunity to ground yourself more privately and quietly. Morning Talks and feedback will resume for the next five days of the workshop. We will end with two independent studio days.

Tim Hawkesworth grew up in Ireland, immigrated to the US in 1977. He has been showing in New York since the early 1980’s as well as other cities around the country and in Europe. His work has received considerable critical attention including reviews in the New York Times, Art News, the New Yorker, the LA Times, the Boston Globe and the IrishTimes. His writing has also been published by several art magazines. He teaches his workshops at different locations around the country including, Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, and Bennington College in Vermont. His work is in many public and private collections including the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and the Dublin City Hugh Lane Gallery. He is currently represented by Littlejohn Contemporary in New York and Peyton Wright Gallery in Santa Fe. His work was recently featured in a solo exhibit at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin and he is one of four Irish painters in “The Quick and the Dead” at the Dublin City Hugh Lane Museum.

Lala Zeitlyn claims her real education as an artist took place on the family farm although she studied painting at Bard College and Philadelphia College of Art. Her work has shown in and around the Philadelphia area and hangs in many private collections. She is also a practicing body worker and brings this knowledge to her teaching, exploring the many forms of access we have between body, mind and spirit. Lala has taught workshops with Tim Hawkesworth for the past twenty years.
